Wal-Mart has issued a recall of Better Homes and Gardens Essential Oil Aromatherapy Room Spray using Gemstone after being associated with a rare and dangerous bacterium that is rarely found in the United States.

  • If you have a spray bottle, stop using it immediately and do not open it if it is unopened. Do not try to dispose of the bottle yourself.

    Double the bottle in a clean, transparent zip-top resealable bag, place it in a small cardboard box, then return the boxed product to the Wal-Mart store.

    Consumers need to wash sheets and linen that may have been sprayed with regular laundry detergent and dry them completely in a hot dryer. Use an undiluted disinfectant to wipe off any surface that may have been sprayed.
